School & Youth Group Program Possibilities & Description

Throughout the year, various opportunities are available for youth and school groups to participate in experiential and environmental education camps. The camps mainly take place at the teepee encampment and longhouse, although the CrossRiver yurt is a possible location as well. Past camps have been facilitated for aboriginal and non-aboriginal rites-of-passage experiences; wilderness skills workshops; young adult leadership training; public school system culture and nature retreats; and the Waldorf school system. Other possibilities that are available include: international youth leadership training; youth and school inter-cultural relations retreats; ecology, biology, and environmental education; aboriginal community partnerships; and scouting organization partnerships. Healthy meals are cooked and taken in the CrossRiver longhouse, and are prepared, whenever possible, over the fire. All our facilitators are experienced environmental and youth program leaders, as well as certified guides, who have long been recognized in their communities as experienced wilderness educators; inspiring guides; and community leaders. All camps include a variety of fun, challenging, and empowering wilderness; arts; community; and inter-cultural games and activities. Contact us for custom options, suggestions, ideas, or partnerships; or check back here again for current opportunities and details about how you can register.
