Throughout the year, various opportunities are continually available to participate in wilderness skills workshops. Experienced practitioners; indigenous elders; or community knowledge-holders are frequently present at the Wilderness Centre on a regular basis. Past workshops have included matchless fire-building; summer and snow shelter-building; and a variety of plant foods and medicines gathering and preparation techniques. Workshops are facilitated by us; include lots of hands-on field experience; and also provide various supporting wilderness, inter-cultural, and community background activities.
